The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were college sweethearts who aged for decades, finally got married, and now seem to be living there happily ever after with their three adorable children.

Royal reporter claims William told friends he wanted to ‘sow wild oats’
The claim about the duke breaking up with his then-girlfriend in 2007 because he wished to”sow his wild oats” comes from journalist Vicky Ward.
“On the one hand he loved Kate and desired it to do the job. However he wished to be sure he had explored all his alternatives. As he told a origin,’I think that it’s a fantastic idea to’sow my wild oats.’”
The Daily Mail’s Richard Kay advised Ward,”I don’t think he found it that easy to find a replacement.”

Did Prince Charles advise William to break up with Middleton?
There have also been reports over the years that William asked his dad for advice about his connection and Prince Charles advised his son to break things off with Middleton.
From the documentary Kate Middleton: Biography, royal writer Chris Andersen said,”William moved to his dad and said,’Look, I am 25, I am too young to get married. I just don’t wish to commit now.

What the prince and duchess have said about why they split
Throughout their joint interview at 2010 following William’s marriage proposal to Middleton, they each revealed on that time in their lives.
“We were both very young. It was at college, we were sort of equally discovering ourselves as being distinct characters and stuff,” the prince clarified.
Kate chimed in adding,”I think in the time that I was not very happy about it, but it made me a stronger individual.”
